Back to the Grind

We had a nice trip up to Minnesota.  We got there the day before the family reunion, and so we were very busy at the beginning.  I was starting to think that we were crazy for coming.  However, later on in the week we were able to relax and enjoy our time.  Roger, Emmit, Preston, and I all went geocaching on day where we picked up a ton of caches.  I even collected geocaching souvenirs from North and South Dakota that day!  We are glad to be back home now, though!

Visit From Family

Last Wednesday my brother and his wife visited.  It had been ages since I had seen Matthew, and I had never met Crystal before.  We had a good visit, but they didn’t stay very long.  I had to work Thursday, and they left after lunch, so I really only got to spend a few hours with them Wednesday night.  If you guys are reading this, we need to visit each other more often!!!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is Donna’s and my 7th wedding anniversary.  That’s right; we’ve been married seven years!  We really don’t have any plans for this evening.  Though, Donna’s parents are taking Preston for the week (they were going to anyway, not just because it is our anniversary!).  I think Donna is wanting to eat out somewhere or do something like that.  Personally, I don’t care for eating out all that much, and I would rather have a meal at home…  We will see!  I’m sure we’ll end up doing something, but I don’t know what.

Mouth Pain…

My mouth is finally feeling better; not quite back to normal, but much better.  Preston’s, though, is still bothering him.  He had his surgery last Thursday.  He didn’t lose any teeth (not the visible ones, anyway!).  They extracted the “mean tooth.”  It was in between his baby teeth and his permanent ones, coming in kind of sideways…  The poor guy has been crying and moaning in his sleep at night the last couple of days.  Apparently that is a common reaction to the anesthesia.  I feel really bad for him though.  I think we’ve been a little too hard on him since the surgery too.  He seemed to be doing so well and so we kind of expected him to behave the same way that he had been before the surgery.  I think he was just covering up that he didn’t feel that great.  We’ll both be better this time next week!  (I hope)
